Bikini bumps be gone!

Shaving sucks. There is really no other way to put it. Stupid red bumps mean you're breaking out the sarong instead of showing off the bikini. Well, we've got our favorite anti-redness magical potion for you this Beach Week. Break out the short shorts!

The cool fix: Shaveworks shaving solutionShaveworks The Cool Fix

It's a dilemma. You can't let the shaving go, but if you do it too close to your beach outing, you'll likely have red bumps on display. The same goes for waxing. I don't know about you, but the blue goo they put on afterwards always breaks me out.

I tried a few fixes, but they usually sting like crazy. I did body makeup for a bathing suit runway show and listened to what the models used. The one I ended up liking the most is the one I tried most recently. It's Shaveworks The Cool Fix.

This gel didn't burn the way most of these things do. It soothed the irritation right away. It's also a little easier to control than some of the other, more liquid ones. Those often require a cotton ball to apply. It's got salicylic and glycolic acids to exfoliate the skin and prevent ingrown hairs. Keep in mind though, this means you'll have to use sunscreen. That is not a good place to get a sunburn!

Shaveworks The Cool Fix is available at Sephora.com and retails for $11 for 2 oz. and $25 for 5.3 oz. A little goes a long way!
