Celebrities are always changing up their hairstyles and Laurent Dufourg, celebrity stylist and owner of Prive Salon, says we should follow their lead to keep our look energized and new.
"I believe we should always be open to taking risks with our hair. Hairstyle trends are always changing and it's a great way to get a fresh new look," says Dufourg, who has worked with Teri Hatcher, Tea Leoni and Shannen Doherty. "Hair will always grow back, so why not?"
Celebrity hair trends with color
One of the hottest trends in 2011 for hair color is ombre hair color, says Dufourg. Spotted on the heads of celebrities such as Drew Barrymore, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rachel Bilson and Jessica Biel, ombre hair color is darker at the roots and gets lighter at the ends. This is a great hairstyle if you are looking to stretch the time between color appointments!
Thanks to Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, red hair is one of the hottest hues of 2011! From Amy Adams to Kristen Stewart, this hot hue gives new meaning to the term fiery redhead!
Sun-kissed blondes never go out of style, making them at the top of the list of Dufourg's hottest color trends. Celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston prove that blond is the new black!

Celebrity hair trends with cuts
Pixie cuts are a bold movie, but if you have the right features, they are absolutely striking and Dufourg says they are the hottest cut for 2011. Harry Potter's Emma Watson caused an uproar when she debuted her more mature pixie cut on the red carpet. Carey Mulligan saw her career skyrocket with her pixie cut, while Halle Berry could be credited with starting this trend.
The red carpet was also buzzing with full bangs! This face-framing look draws attention to your eyes and instantly gives you a modern and fresh look. Sandra Bullock, Kim Kardashian and Heidi Klum are just a handful of the celebrities who have totally rocked this look.

Celebrity hair trends with styles
Dufourg says that celebrities in 2011 love low buns, worn by such stars as Taylor Swift, which give a romantic look on the red carpet. Deep side parts, worn by Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna, are a great way frame your face and are flattering to all face shapes.

Woven locks, such as small braids along the hairline, are huge in 2011 and are a fun way to give your look a boho feel. Celebrities such as Brooklyn Decker, Lauren Conrad and Jennifer Aniston were all seen sporting this fun hair trend.
