Handbag trends for spring

Colorblock brights

This spring, look for handbags in bright colors such as fuchsia and orange. Colorblocking will also be popular. From the Marc Jacobs Spring 2011 show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, you can see a great example of this trend in the photo above.

Playful prints

The Diane von Furstenberg spring collection features bags in fun, playful prints from small clutches to large weekender bags. This DVF bag pictured here depicts another spring trend as well -- tassles.

Preppy chic

Look for spring handbags in boxy, classic shapes dressed up with funky prints and unique details. The Versus spring collection features preppy-chic bags in fun retro prints -- vibrant florals and pretty plaids.
