Heavy On The Nail

Celebrity nail trends have been on the rise, but we're not too sure about the newest: 3D nails. Check out the new look and let us know if you would wear this celebrity nail trend.

too much detail?

3D nails are covered with crystals, glitter and other objects. This nail trend has been popular in Japanese culture and is making its way to the United States with a celebrity pull. Rihanna, Beyonce and Cassie have all been spotted wearing the eclectic designs.

After all the designs are created and added to the nail, a top coat much like shellac seals in all the details and protects your nails from breaking.

It looks like a trend that Katy Perry is likely to embrace -- but will you? Let us know and comment below!

I honestly thought the same thing until I tried it. It's not easy to get off (so no wear and tear) and doesn't affect your everyday activities. Mine are more toned down with just a simple flower and pearl on each nail but I want more :) but, like all trends it probably wont be around for a while!

I would try them, just not the CrAzY ones. :)

I'm not sure... I mean, maybe if you were a platnium singer/songwriter, but for everyday people with jobs or school, absoulute no.

Haha, sounds silly if you ask me. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for Japanese style, but that one's not really meant for everyday wear.

No, thank you. It looks uncomfortable, and unprofessional unless you are an entertainer. I can see it now, "sleep face" with indentations of beads and crystals, bumps that catch on clothing, my 2-year-old son trying to pull the decorations off...

I'd try it!

Absolutely not!
