Hair Color's Newest Staple

No more stressing about getting a color touch-up before your roots start showing: Hollywood's newest hair coloring trend has been seen everywhere, from the red carpet to the grocery store. Ombre hair is a beautiful, practical -- and hot -- trend.

Summer trend, fall transition

The summer months started ombre hair coloring with dirty beach blondes going dark to light. Now in the fall and into winter, ombre is getting even darker at the roots and lighter at the ends.

Steal the look

Ombre, which means gradation in French, is the celebrity hair trend to copy. Victoria Justice is just one celeb sporting this hairstyle for Glamour's November issue. Add a few loose waves with texturing gel to your ombre hair color, don a bold statement blazer, and you can steal this look without any fuss.

I agree Ruby, definitely best when SUBTLE! I love the look on Jessica Biel, I think she kills it. I got the "natural ombre" but stopping dying my hair and letting the highlights grow out, it really did the trick and will help me transition when the craze is gone!

love the trend!!! so flattering on peoples skin tones with the natural at the top and subtle shadowing towards the end.

Another really BAD trend. Just looks like hair in need of having roots done for several years. Just as bad as striped hair instead of subtle highlights that look natural. The ombre hair looks bad on everyone.

Drew Barrymore has been misled. I love the other looks - this is one effect that works best when it's SUBTLE.
