Fashion in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland fever has taken over the fashion world. We’re not surprised: In the land of Wonderland, anything is possible and the fashion possibilities are endless! The romance, femininity and exquisite detailing have inspired style icons everywhere to take a peek through the looking glass to give their interpretations of the perfect fantasy wardrobe. Esteemed designers like Zac Posen and Stella McCartney have incorporated elements of the movie into Alice-inspired lines. But for us everyday dreamers, there are easy and inexpensive ways to work these fantasy elements into your real-life wardrobe without breaking the bank.

Hair

To get Alice's beautiful soft, tousled ringlets, Keneesha Hudson, curly hair expert and owner of curly hair apothecary Urbanbella in Atlanta recommends the following tips and products:

"These youthful, whimsical waves can be accomplished on almost any hair type! Start off by applying a wavy enhancing gel or mousse such as Hair Rules Wavy Mousse or Ouidad Playcurl Mousse to wet or damp hair. Use CURLS "Curl Gel-les-c'" for frizzier textures

Divide hair into sections 2-3 fingers wide and create large ponytails. Using a dollop of mousse, twist or braid each hair section. Allow braids to dry completely then gently unbraid for soft full waves. You can lightly separate waves with fingers but be gentle and do not use a brush or you'll flatten the waves.

Crave the style without all this effort? Add a fabulous bow headband, and you will be feeling the fantasy in no time!
