We had a front-row seat to the 2010 Academy Awards, and though there were quite a few style hits and misses, there were absolutely abundant hair themes to be noted. Here's how you can steal these fab Oscar hair looks without throwing cash at a stylist... perfect for the prom crowd!

Not everyone went for the classic up do. Best actress nominee Sandra Bullock along with Carmen Diaz and Kate Winslet chose to wear their long hair down, with one side pinned back over the ear, while the opposite side draped their flowing tresses over the shoulder.
This look provided sleek sides, a dramatic side part, and high, polished shine. Spray with =spray shine for added gloss.
How to steal the look
After setting the hair in hot rollers or curling the hair with a large barrel curling iron, brush the hair to loosen the curls. Create a deep side part. Taking the opposite side of the side part, brush hair behind the ear and pin into place approximately 1 inch behind the ear. Once the hair is secured behind the ear, continue to brush hair over to the opposite side and over the shoulder. Return to the deep side part area. Lightly backcomb the front area to create slight volume, and comb the hair into place, blending into the hair over the shoulder. Spray with finishing spray.
