Fresh off the runway

The flowers may not be blooming just yet, but spring is just around the corner, ready to swoop in like a breath of sweet, fresh air. Why wait for the calendar to turn to freshen up your make-up routine? Shake off the winter blues by introducing some of spring’s fresh makeup trends today.

Neutral Lids

The spring 2010 runway prominently displayed a new twist in eye color (like this model from the Y3 show). The super simple, yet ultra-flattering nude lid is achieved with just a wash of neutral shadow. "Heavy eyeliner will be out for spring," explains Simkins. "Try sweeping a neutral shade over your entire lid. It's simple, mistake proof makeup!" The nude trend can extend to the lips as well. A matte lip can look dry and dull so make sure your nude gloss has some shimmer.
