Harem pants

Yes, the I Dream of Genie pants are back. If you're a bit hesitant, try a basic black pair with a tucked-in blouse. Add some heels and the look is complete and fashion-forward.

Just like the LBD, a nice tailored blazer is a total wardrobe must-have. This spring designers were all about it showing slim-cut version that were perfectly tailored. Wear it casually with jeans or to dress up any outfit. Don't be afraid to try bold colors like the Rag & Bone red blazer shown here.

Graphic prints

Each spring, designers channel some sort of artistry and this season, it's all about the graphic prints. Whether it's black-and-white or something a bit more geometric, a graphic print is a definite spring 2009 must-have.

Even though Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada may think florals for spring are less than innovative, she was right about one thing, flower-prints are a definite mainstay returning trend for spring. Whether you choose to embrace it again or not, we definitely think it's fun and flirty. If you're not all about something so feminine, try a small dose of floral like this floral-printed skirt from Forever 21.

At first I thought the whole jump suit idea was crazy... but the way they're designing them this season is fantastic! BCBG has some really nice ones out for the spring both in thier runway collection and thier ready-to-wear... Toronto's fashion week was last week for fall/winter 2009. There's some great stuff to come off those runways for this fall! For more info check out www.fashweekly early April xo

Yup, I've noticed those neutral colors too. If they are not nude then they are cream or maybe a light shade of peach. I saw a really interesting pair of harem pants at Loehmann's the other day (I think they must have been Sinequanone, because they blogged about them recently). Don't forget to think about what color your underwear is, if the neutral colors are see-through, you might expose more than you want! BTW that Loehmann's blogpost is here: http://blog.loehmanns/french-fashion-on-the-loehmanns-catwalk
