Get a haircut often
Everyone should get a haircut regularly every six to eight weeks. Shorter haircuts can be trimmed every month. By getting your haircut often, you will eliminate split ends, leaving your hair smooth and beautiful.
Don't shampoo every day
Someone women think it's crazy, but you don't need to shampoo your hair every day. Overshampooing can strip your hair of its natural oils leaving it dull and lifeless. You can normally get away with shampooing every couple days and just rinse your hair with cool water, if necessary.
Blot your hair dry
The thing that damages the hair the most is rubbing it vigorously with a towel. Instead, you should blot the excess water out of your hair rather than rubbing. Then comb it out and allow your hair to air dry if you can. Avoid overusing
blow dryers and other heated styling tools whenever possible.
Find a good hair stylist
Bad haircuts and dye jobs can ruin your look. Invest some time to find a good hairdresser. If you see someone with a terrific haircut, ask them for the name of their stylist. When changing your
hairstyle, find pictures in magazines and online that demonstrate the style you desire. Bring the photos with you to salon to show the hair stylist.
Use natural haircare products
Alcohol and other chemicals can damage your hair. Choose natural or
organic shampoos and conditioners that contain nourishing botanical ingredients.
