Exfoliate Your Feet

Exfoliating your feet is an important part of a pedicure. This process removes dead skin cells, helps to reduce calluses, and makes feet softer and smoother. Whether you are giving yourself a pedicure at home or having one done professionally, it's important to exfoliate.

In this video, a professional foot specialist demonstrates the exfoliation process during a pedicure. If you are doing this at home, use a pumice stone or a foot file, along with a homemade salt scrub.

Making a salt scrub at home is very simple. Just combine the following three ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sea salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 15 drops of essential oil

Choose whatever fragrance of essential oil that you like. Eucalyptus, lavender, lemon and peppermint all work well for your feet.
