Yowza! This year has not been kind to the 2014 Met Gala, with the majority of the event’s attendees likely making it on our “not so great” dressed list. Surprisingly, some of the most anticipated red carpet appearances were disappointing, so we had a handful of underdog fashion stories last night.
Without further ado, here are the celebrities that brought it to the red carpet. Actually, they didn’t just bring it. They killed it. We’re so proud of you, beautiful people!
Colour was very horribly used and abused last night at the gala, so we were thrilled to see Selena Gomez do it right. The actress looked sophisticated and gorgeous in this plum, ultra-fitted gown. Although, she may have looked a little too mature (she’s only 21, for Pete’s sake!).
If you ignore the hair, Rihanna looked wonderful. The white two-piece made her skin glow and highlighted her beautiful curves in all the right places. We love the idea of a crop top and a fitted skirt on the red carpet; it’s very fresh.
Oh, Gisele! The model looked stunning. The sexy low-cut dress with her flowy hair and immeasurable beauty. . . it works. What can we say? We’re definitely in love with this look.
What a beautiful couple! Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds dropped our jaws to the floor in their Gucci outfits. Blake looked flawless and Ryan was so dapper, we almost cried. This is how you make a statement, people!
Charlize Theron knows what’s up. The actress looked sophisticated in this black and white number from Dior, with just the right amount of sexy. We bet her beau, Sean Penn, could not take his eyes off her!
They are perfect. That’s it. Perfect! Emma Stone rocked hot pink on the red carpet in a way we have never seen before. The Thakoon crop top and skirt did wonders to her body, and boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, looked equally as impressive in his shiny Band of Outsiders blazer. We love these two.
