My journey to clear, beautiful skin is a never-ending story. I would describe my skin type as normal to dry, acne prone (moderate) and a bit pig-headed. I think it is vital to know what you're dealing with (skin type) when you are looking for that ideal cleaning and moisturizing regimen. Because once you've conquered that, we can all be happy campers, right? I've decided to share what I've been doing with my skin lately to let out some successes and non-successes on my path. My products are pretty simple, with a couple of masks and spot treatments here and there, but mainly a piece of cake. Products that are tried-and-true for me are Murad, Aveeno, occasionally Neutrogena and Kiehl's. I am still in search of greater and healthier, but for now here are my steps.
1. Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa Lemon Burst Polishing Scrub 2. Murad Acne Clearing Solution 3. Murad Oil Control Mattifier with SPF 15 4. Murad Clarifying Cleanser 5. Burts Bees Wax Acne Solutions Spot Treatment 6. Rosehip Organic Hip Oil 7. CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion (my favorite)
After getting a facial at The Red Door Spa, I was lectured about my skin and how an exfoliator is very necessary in your weekly routine. I was introduced to The Red Door Spa Lemon Burst Polishing Scrub and I use this two to three times a week. I have noticed a big difference in fine lines and small breakouts since using it. I guess you can say I'm pleased with this scrub.
Step 1. Wash with Murad Clarifying Cleanser twice a day.
Step 2. Follow up with Murad Acne Clearing Solutions.
Step 3. Finish Murad Acne Starter Kit with Murad Oil Control Mattifier.
Step 4. I mix the CeraVe moisturizing lotion with Murad Oil Control Mattifier because the oil control dries out my skin.
Step 5. Use Elizabeth Arden's Polishing Scrub two to three times a week.
Step 6. I've been trying out the Botanicals organic rose hip oil to eliminate wrinkles and fine lines.
Step 7. Use Burt's Bees Acne Solutions for pesky pimples and breakouts.
After my seven steps, I follow up with my daily makeup featured above.
Note: I am looking for something stronger and better to replace my Murad Acne Starter Kit. My skin is still not where I would like it to be, but hopefully I am on the road to flawless, beautiful skin. Of course diet and healthy living play a huge part in it. I will continue to do that. Love the skin you're in.
