Six-week beach body challenge: Day 5

Each day for the next six weeks, you can expect:

Beach body move: Back lunge

  1. Hold a set of dumbbells by your side. Take a big step back with your right foot. Make sure both feet point straight ahead and you are on the ball of your left foot.
  2. Deeply bend both knees toward the ground. Engage glutes to press back up to starting position. Keep core engaged and shoulders back.
  3. Perform 10 reps on each side.


Flat belly snack: Sprouted bread with hummus

Bread made from sprouted grains is high in fiber, does not spike your blood sugar and contains protein and healthy fat. There are gluten-free varieties that have a great taste. Look for it in the refrigerated section.

Toast it up and add some hummus for a perfect snack.

Sexy summer destination: Miami

Head down to South Beach for glorious beach days and fun nights on the dance floor. This fast-paced, high-energy town is a great girls' trip. The Cuban food is a must, and leave room in your suitcase for adorable bikinis, sundresses and accessories. Enjoy the warm water, gorgeous sunsets and perhaps a few run-ins with cute guys.
