You can make a change for the better, too

What can you do for a better you?

We know you’ve got a lot going on, but it’s time to put yourself first, girlfriend. That may sound like a hefty request, but it’s easier than it sounds. Making small changes and setting goals for yourself can go a long way toward improving your well-being (both mentally and physically), and Olay wants to get you started.

With its Pledge to Switch, Olay is asking you to pledge to make a change. What you change is up to you. No one knows you better, right? Switch your diet, switch your schedule or switch your plans for life. Any change can make a difference, as long as it’s a good one.

What will you pledge?

Beauty starts on the inside, so one way to make a big difference inside and out is by switching up your diet. It takes a lot of motivation to make better food choices, but trust us, the payoff is worth it. You’ll look and feel better, and your health will definitely change for the better.

Nadine Jolie was fueled by healthy foods as a child, but began to rebel when she got out on her own. She’s seen the error of her ways and is making the switch to an organic diet. “I’ve pledged to lead a healthier life, and I’m trying to make these choices in my food,” she said. Read all about on her blog, Live Life Beautifully.

Blogger Danielle Smith is making a similar change, but she’s doing it to be a better mom. “I look in the mirror and see a girl who not only needs to take care of herself, but needs to model that for her sweet daughter,” said Smith. She’s pledged to switch to a healthier diet to set a great example for her kid, and written about it over at Extraordinary Mommy. Way to go, mama.

Something Navy

Arielle Nachmani is a self-declared “workout nut.” She’s decided that simply working out isn’t enough and has pledged to take better care of her body from every angle. “I am making a pledge to cut out anything that isn’t good for my body,” she said. According to her post on Something Navy, that includes anything from certain foods to some types of body wash and detergent.

My Style Pill

Christine Cameron is looking to the future with her pledge. As a newbie 30-something, she’s still blissfully wrinkle-free and sporting a youthful glow. She knows that won’t last forever, but she’s doing her best to hold onto it as long as possible. “I’ve decided to make a pledge and switch from not using any type of body moisturizer to making a conscious effort to do so every day,” she said. “I just have to keep reminding myself that I don’t want to have scaly, wrinkly, dry skin as I get older, so I’m tackling the issue now and giving it my best shot!” Read more over at My Style Pill.

There are many ways to take care of your skin, and Amber Katz is thinking outside the box. She gets itchy at the mere thought of fragranced detergent, so she’s making a pledge to cut it out of her life. “I’m pledging to make the switch to fragrance-free iterations to save my skin,” she said. That’s one tiny change that she’ll probably thank herself for for years to come. That's not the only pledge she made, though. Read about her other one at her blog, Rouge18.
