Lily Collins and Anne Hathaway's beautiful celebrity styles made us do a double take this week! We're telling you why in this week's installment of Friday's Fashion Obsessions.
I love it when celebs use their star power to bring attention to worthy causes like cancer, don't you? At the Hollywood Stands Up to Cancer event, Lily Collins stole the spotlight and showed off her gams in an embellished black shorts suit and strappy sandals.
Is this perfection or what? A shorts suit is such a fun, youthful take on the typically stuffy business suit, and we wouldn't expect anything less from this budding fashion icon. Embellished detailing adds some photo-worthy star power to this perfectly tailored suit, and a vampy mani/pedi and orange lip offset the dark blazer/shorts duo.
The final verdict? I really don't care that it's the middle of winter and it's freezing outside mostly everywhere in the country. In California, the sun shines year round and Lily Collins certainly shone in this stunning ensemble.
Also at the event, Anne Hathaway looked every bit the stylish star in black and blue separates. The overall effect? An outfit that could work equally as well for work or play! Join me as I admire her work.
Anne's outfit is really a recipe for style success. It looks super cool without seeming like she's trying too hard, and it fits her like a glove. A textured blazer and bag, statement pumps and a simple tee in a color different than the rest of her outfit really combine to create a cool look that's easy to mimic with simple basics we all have in our closet.
The final verdict? Had Anne gone with a silky blouse here, the look would have still been fabulous, but the luxe tee she chose instead truly turned this into a versatile outfit we weren't expecting. This is one look I'll definitely be stealing for myself!
