Don't be intimidated!
Woman with great legs wearing heels

Turn some heads

It's a bold woman who wears 4-inch heels when she already towers over a room in bare feet. We talked with a handful of guys to get their take on fearless Amazon women in high heels.

As a 6'3" woman myself, I often wonder what men think when I wear high heels. As it turns out, most men love the look! So grab your stilettos and hit the town, tall women everywhere, because you're about to turn a few heads.

Feeling shy

"Tall women who wear heels are so pretty, but I definitely feel intimidated by them. I'm only 5'8", so a woman who wears high heels is going to make me stare but probably not ask her out." Joe, age 25.

"I usually think tall women who wear heels are sexy but out of my league. They look like models, and I'm just a regular guy. I probably wouldn't approach her in a bar, even if I wanted to." Martin, age 31.

"I feel some tall women wear heels to further emphasize their height. Like, 'Look, I'm taller than you,' or 'Yes, I'm over 6'0" tall in these heels.'" Matt, age 27.

Bring on the gorgeous legs!

"Tall women in high heels have legs that go on for miles. I don't care if a woman is taller than me — those legs in high heels look spectacular!" Ryan, age 35.

"I've never seen a more beautiful woman than a 6'0" co-worker at my old job. She would wear nicely fitted clothes to work, and would pair every outfit with sexy high heels. The heels made her legs look amazing. To this day, I kick myself for not asking her out. I just figured she wouldn't want to date a shorter guy." Tim, age 44.

Confidence is a turn-on

"Simply put: I think tall women in heels are confident, secure and beautiful." Jerome, age 28.

"There's nothing better than a woman who knows who she is and what she likes. I can't help but think tall women who wear high heels fall in that category, because I'm sure they field a ton of questions and comments due to their fashion choices." Samuel, age 34.

Strange sensations

"When I see a tall woman in heels, I automatically wonder what kind of super children we could make together. Yum." Zack, age 35.

"If I see a tall woman in a bar or club, I'll stare at her for most of the night, but I won't ask her to dance until we're both adequately drunk. Girls like that are intimidating." Michael, age 28.

"It's weird to make out with someone taller than me, but bring it on!" Jake, age 25.

Comments on "What men really think: Tall women in high heels"

I laugh at women who are only 5'2-5'4 who say, gee, I will only date men who are over 6 feet. Are you kidding me? Talk about self esteem issues. It's one thing to want a man to be same height or even a little taller, but to require a man to be "that" much taller goes beyond shallow, it's some childhood issues coming to the surface. Do these women realize, that in america, only 14.5% of men are 6 feet and over? That means, many of those men will be married or have a girlfriend. So now, you have maybe 10% or less of men to choose from. You either expand your options or be alone, it's your choice. Women often say they want the man to be taller to feel protected and to feel safe. Well, I'm 5'8, not very tall, but I'm a bodybuilder, so I'm very big. If you don't feel protected by a guy like me, you never will.

I'm petite, barely make 5'3 but I have slender (short) legs and a long torso. I do get comments from a lot of people (mostly guys who 'work up the courage' to talk to me) who think I look intimidating and unapproachable when I wear stiletto heels. I think it just has to do with legs looking long not necessarily being tall. I don't mean to come off as arrogant. That's just my opinion.

Tall girls look really great in high heels, and not just high heels but very high heels too. Heels are not only for short girls, cause heels are not to look higher, but to look more y and attractive. So, tall girls, please don't feel shy to wear your highest heels... we will love to see you

I have been married 46 years. I found that women like to be talked to and not as a tramp waiting for some jerk who has a thousand stale over used pick-up lines. A tall woman with high heels knows she looks Great. She does not need to be asked "How is the weather up there?" one more time in her life. As the old song goes "Treat her like a Lady and she'll be nice to you."
