Romance is in the air

With Valentine's Day only a month away, it looks like Amy Adams had a little bit of romance on her mind when she chose this year's red-hot Golden Globes gown by none other than Valentino.

Amy Adams red Valentino Golden Globes gown

Talk about red hot! Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture nominee Amy Adams was seriously smoldering on the red carpet tonight. She made her 2014 Golden Globes debut in a simple but stunning Valentino gown with a plunging neckline and open back that showed off all her best assets. We personally heart the contrast of colors in the dress, with a deep shade of elegant red on top juxtaposed by a bright, fun red on the bottom that kept things interesting.

More importantly, let's talk about her show-stopping statement jewelry, which really tied together the entire look in our opinion. Adams wore an extravagant diamond pendant necklace by Lorraine Schwartz that hit right at her cleavage, yet wasn't too over the top at all for the gown. In fact, the length and size of it was just perfect. Paired with simple diamond earrings, it was definitely the right amount of bling.

As for her hair, though, we're not so sure we're digging the double French braided up-do. It almost takes away from the dress. We think we would have preferred something a little less busy, what about you?
