Amorepacific All Day Balancing Serum Name this product:

Amorepacific All Day Balancing Care Serum (amorepacific.com, $200)

What the product claims to do:

Balance the skin's natural rhythm and fortify it against natural and environmental aggressors such as pollution, lack of sleep and stress. It ultimately promises a more hydrated, rested and youthful appearance.

How it worked for me:

It is quite hard to measure the efficacy of a serum when its purpose is to protect your skin against intangible aggressors and difficult to quantify the claim of balancing skin's natural rhythm. That said, I did notice a difference in my skin's hydration levels and the radiance.

How this product looks and feels:

The serum glides like silk over the skin and deeply nourishes, thanks to White Birch Sap, Musk Mallow Extract and other Asian Botanicals in the formulation. It can serve as a great makeup primer too.

What I liked about this product:

I liked that one application would serve me well throughout the day because of its proprietary Balancycle Complex, which includes ingredients that address various circadian rhythm concerns. This means one application in the morning, and one before bedtime, is enough.

Describe the application process, how often you used the product and for how long:

I used this twice daily: once in the morning and once before bedtime after cleansing. It took just a minute to apply.

Describe the results you saw over a month:

Clearer, more hydrated skin. The serum definitely helped control the oiliness too that caused my breakouts.

I would recommend this product for:

Women with all skin types, especially those worried about acne and hydration.

Additional comments:

The serum is definitely on the more pricey side, but considering the quality of the ingredients and its uniqueness, it could be worth it if this is what you're looking for. If you're on the fence, ask for a sample before you buy.
