Sensitive skin needs extra tender care because it can become irritated easily. Sensitive skin tends to be thinner than other skin types, more prone to allergic reactions to skin products and reacts negatively to sun, wind, cold, heat, humidity and pollutants in the air. To prevent long-term damage to sensitive skin, special products should be used. Fragrance free, hypoallergenic and natural products work best. Following the proper skin regime and choosing the right products is the key to keeping sensitive skin beautiful.
Sensitive skin care routine
Clean your face twice daily with a mild cleanser made for sensitive skin and a soft washcloth or your fingertips. Make sure the water you rinse with is not too hot or too cold because either extreme could irritate skin.
Use a mild toner that doesn't contain alcohol to remove any excess make-up or dirt.
Use a lotion or cream moisturizer that is fragrance free or hypoallergenic. Also, choose a product that offers sun protection.
For deep cleaning and moisturizing, you may want to try a cream mask once or twice a week. Do not choose one that dries the skin and avoid scrubs that can cause damage to sensitive skin.
