When I am in another city, if I have (or can make) a little extra time, I also head straight for the in-house spa. There, jet lag, frazzled nerves and a fatigued-looking face can all be alleviated in as little as an hour's time.

So here are four luxurious spa treatments that you can replicate at home, courtesy of some of the most luxurious resorts' spas out there: Trump Hotels of course.

1

The hammam treatment

The DIY treatment: "Bring the hammam experience home by purchasing Turkish soap and a kese mitt for a DIY full-body scrub," says Amanda.

"Exfoliating the entire body helps to clear the mind and is important for our well-being," says Amanda Schmiege, spa director at Trump SoHo in New York City. "A traditional ‘hammam' is a Middle-Eastern bathing ritual that detoxifies the body, stimulates circulation and nourishes the skin." In the spa's luxurious hammam treatment, guests lay on a heated marble belly stone while the therapist applies an oil-based castile soap with a traditional handmade kese mitt to exfoliate. It's rinsed off with water of varying temperatures from warm to hot and ending with cold.

2

Urban body mask treatment

The DIY version: "Take an occasional bath by candlelight, placing a few drops of your favorite oils into the water. Close your eyes and focus on clearing your mind of all extraneous thoughts. Even a few minutes of quiet, meditative time can have incredible benefits," says Bruce.

Grant Bruce, director of spa and fitness operations at the spa in Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago says, "To combat the pollutants and stress of urban life, it's essential to relax and re-energize the body." The spa's purifying Ultimate Urban Body Mask treatment begins with a skin sloughing with herbal mineral salts infused with antioxidant vitamins. A blue-green algae body mask enhanced with chlorophyll extracts is then applied and followed by a massage with such detoxifying aromatherapy oils as cypress, rosemary and grapefruit.

Sun healing chill bath and body wrap

The DIY version: "Two must-haves in your summer sun bag to hydrate and repair are a cooling mist spray and aloe vera," says DeVore. Take a leaf from an aloe vera plant, break it open, and apply the gel directly to your skin.

"Shielding your skin with a daily SPF is imperative, especially in Hawaii, but for those who have been over exposed, it's vital to restore moisture," says Bridgette DeVore from the spa at the Trump International Hotel Waikiki Beach Walk. Their rehydrating Sun Healing Chill Bath & Body Wrap comes with a delightful scalp, hand and foot massage.

Morning after eye cure mask

The DIY version: "Natural remedies for inside and out include hot or chilled lemon water for detoxification and cucumber slices over the eyes, which when combined with a brief power nap, can be an excellent quick fix," says Leuluai.

"City living can most certainly contribute to sleepless nights and tired, puffy eyes," says Becky Leuluai from the spa at Trump International Hotel Las Vegas. While getting the proper rest is essential, it is also important to keep the under eye area hydrated." Vegas-goers can minimize the effects of their nighttime adventures with the spa's Morning After Eye Cure with its personalized mask, serum and moisturizer to replenish and energize, reducing puffiness and dark circles.
