Apple shaped women usually have fuller breasts, an undefined waist, narrow hips and great legs. As with dressing most body types, the key is balance. You want to disguise the midsection, elongate the torso and show off your assets.

Dresses with an empire waist and bias cut will hide any tummy bulges. Avoid dresses with belts or other details set at the true waistline.
"Show off your legs; they are your assets," says celebrity fashion stylist and TV personality Dawn Del Russo. "Look for a little above the knee length dresses and skirts. Shorter skirts will put the focus on your legs and take the attention away from your midsection."
Don't wear deep necklines that draw the eye to your middle. You should also avoid straight shifts and any fabrics that cling through the bodice.
Jennifer Hudson, Oprah Winfrey, Chandra Wilson, Rosie O'Donnell, Elizabeth Hurley and Catherine Zeta-Jones all have apple body shapes.
