Pretty Little Liars starlet Ashley Benson wore this bra and skirt combination to the Teen Choice Awards, but we've gotta be brutally honest with her: We don't like this mismatched look at all. She started with a black bralette from Bec & Bridge, which could have been OK if she paired it with a sleek skirt that wasn't so high waisted. With this combination, you can't even see any of her midriff.
This cobalt skirt by Giorgio Armani doesn't go with the top... or anything, for that matter. Between the peplum and embellished overlay, there's just too much going on here for our taste. All of those elements are distracting and add bulk to Ashley's figure. We think it needs to lose one element, either the peplum or the overlay, to make it more streamlined. Her bright Rachel Roy pumps also clash with the whole ensemble.
The final verdict? Ashley's not winning any style awards from us in this getup, but at least she won something that night. The actress scored Choice TV Drama for her ABC Family show.
Lily Collins went for a high fashion look at the same awards show, but all we see is a walking fashion fail. The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones actress chose a tropical printed Fausto Puglisi palm tree-printed skirt with a long train for the event where she presented an award, and her over-the-top look says "crazy train" to us.
The black top and skirt combo could be cute if it didn't have that printed mullet piece in the back. We think Lily would have looked so much better if the skirt was the same length as the front hemline all around instead of a hi-lo hem. With this outfit, we almost think Lily should have swapped shoes with Ashley on the blue carpet. While her black Brian Atwood pumps are classic and simple, the orange shoes Ash wore would have matched her whole tropical theme nicely.
The final verdict? We usually love Lily's hair and makeup (her eyebrows are always fierce), but her big bouffant hairdo is a bit out of control. A sleek bun would have been a good option since there's already so much going on with her outfit.
