Loving Lily's '60s style at the 2013 TCAs

We're getting a total Breakfast at Tiffany's vibe from Lily Collins' 2013 TCAs hairstyle.

Loving Lily's '60s style at the 2013 TCAsThe Mortal Instruments star Lily Collins rocked the red carpet at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards in her Fausto Puglisi dress with earrings by Graziela Gems and rings and a bangle by EF Collection. However, we were all about her beauty look — specifically, we loved her retro hairstyle.

Really, don't you just get an Audrey Hepburn vibe?

We want to copy the style at home, so we asked Pasquale Caselle, celebrity hairstylist for IT&LY Hairfashion, to give us an easy tutorial.

And yes, it's really, really easy.

"Transform your hair into a Lily Collins '60s retro faux updo in three easy steps," Caselle says.

  1. Back-brush the entire head to create volume.
  2. Smooth just the top surface without removing the back-brushing and place a headband ear to ear.
  3. Roll the remainder of the hair under at the nape, making sure not to flatten the height, and secure it with bobby pins.

Get Lily Collins' eyebrows

Collins' other most striking feature? Her eyebrows. The 24-year-old's brows are always arched so perfectly, and we're dying to know how to get our own perfect pair.

The secret? Patience, according to Sine Qua Non Salons of Chicago eyebrow expert Rebecca O'Sullivan.

"Don't pluck! Stay away from magnifying mirrors and put those tweezers away," O'Sullivan says. "You're going to need them to grow out, and it could take some time. It's not the prettiest process, but it's worth it in the end."

O'Sullivan recommends using an eyebrow pencil to fill them in while you're in the growing-out process. This will also help keep you from wanting to pluck in the areas that are growing in, she says.

Leave the actual shaping to the professionals, she recommends.

"I'd advise going to a brow expert who is known for keeping brows full. Let them know how full you want them every time! And avoid plucking above the brow, only below the brow bone. Shaping from underneath is key."
