Have Fun With Colors And Classic Stripes!

There's something so fresh and a bit rebellious about switching up a classic stripe — and that's exactly what DVF did in her Resort 2014 line. A mix of black, taupe, green and blue stripes in alternating colors and different sizes make up this edgy nail design.

Instructions:

1

Building blocks

Start with a base coat of gray and blue. Think ahead to the colors you'll use for each nail and how you'll want to layer and tape them to get the pattern you want. Add some green blocks of color.

2

Tape

Think about where you want your black stripes to go and tape accordingly. We kept one nail strictly gray and black while giving some others more colors and variety of stripes.

3

Paint and peel

Paint black over the nail where you didn't tape over. Wait for it to dry and then peel the tape off gently.
