Can Foot Surgery
Make Feet Pretty?

After years of high heel shoes and other foot abuse, many women are not happy with the look of their feet and are turning to plastic surgery. Is foot surgery an option for you?

Feet Before and After SurgeryDr Oliver Zong, Surgical Director of NYC Footcare, offers several corrective foot surgeries, including corn and bunion removal and toe straightening. Dr. Zong also performs many toe beautifying procedures, including the Toe Tuck, Toe Slimming and Toe Shortening:

  • Toe Tuck involves surgery on your pinky to to make it slimmer so it more easily fits into pointed shoes.
  • Toe Slimming involves removing fatty deposits from the tips of your toes (who knew that toes could get fat!)
  • Toe Shortening involves shortening the second toe.

Dr Zong serves as the Director of Surgery at NYC FOOTCARE and is on the Board of Directors at Gramercy Park Surgery Center (nycfootcare.com).

What do you think about plastic surgery for your feet? I have even heard that some women are getting their pinky toe removed completely, in order to wear more narrow shoes. But I have yet to hear a doctor confirm that is true. I can understand if you are having foot problems, but would you have surgery just to beautify your feet? I'm 15 and I wear a size 9 or sometimes 10. I'm only 5' 2 so my feet are pretty big for my height. I would love to get surgery, especially because my second toe is longer than my first and I have a slight corn from my toe rubbing against my shoes. I would also love to get my toes skinnier (especially my pinky toe). I recently wore slippers to school for the first time ever and was embarrassed when people stared at my feet and told me how weird they looked and how my toes were long, big, and fat at the tips. :\ if I had the money, I would definitely go under the knife.just so I could wear slippers feeling self-conscious and worrying about people talking crap.

I have ET toes, they're long and bony and I hate them. My 2nd & 3rd toes are longer than my big toe (hilarious), and I've gone for a consultation to get them shortened. My right foot is worse, because it's slightly bigger than my left foot, the third toe is a hammer toe with a nice discolored corn on the top (ewwww!). Dr. said it developed from all the years of rubbing inside my shoe. I try to wear shoes that cover that 3rd toe - - which is hard to do sometimes, especially with all the cute sexy shoes out there. My husband says they're normal, they just have character..lol, but he's supportive of me getting surgery if it'll help my self esteem. My insurance will pay most of it but I think I'll have to come out of pocket a few thousand. Cost varies depending on what your getting. I suggest everyone on here get a consultation, it's free and gives you an idea of costs so you can start saving. My advise, do it while your young!

I suffer from what the woman in my family call spatula feet. Narrow in the back and wide in the front. In my case it is very frustrating. If you go by the length of my foot than I am a size 8 1/2 or 9 but in order to fit my shoes in width, I wear a size 10 and even that is hit-and-miss, I can try a size 11 and it might fit the width but the length becomes too long. Forget wearing open toed shoes, my toes won't even show and then what's the point. It's hard to find any type of comfortable shoe, outside of slippers, that do not pinch my feet. I wouldn't mind an operation, but I'd really like to know how much something like this would cost.

My feet are hideous, and my toes curl to the side and are really long...my feet are size 10 and are so flat i can step on an ant and squash it! im not old enough for surgery yet but when i turn 18 next year that is the first thing i will do! My toe nails also stain really easily and i have a bit of toe fungus...Its worse that my boyfriend has a foot fetish so i really want to change them!

Hi, My name is kylis, and my feet are really wide. I have my dads feet, and they are hidious. I have a great style and during the summer i wear alot of dresses and skirts which means sandals. But, i am so embarrased at my feet because they are so wide. Right now i am wearing 9-10 size shoes. But, i think if my feet were'nt so wide my shoe size would at least be an 8. I have no problem with my toes. Its just the sides of my feet. Ya know the sides that hand off when i wear sandals. I think if there was a surgery i would definantly get it. Please someone help me to find shoes, or this surgery

I have big feet. Size 9 1/2 wide with 2 very short little toes. I have to buy two pairs of shoes because my right foot is longer than my left foot, very expensive. I have to buy a hole size larger shoe for the right foot. Can my feet be slimmed, shortened to a size 7B and lengthen my little toes? I am much older than most of you here but I have been embarrassed by my feet for years and will not wear sandals, flip flops or heels. Please give me some suggestions on where to go for help. Thanks

I'm 14 & I wear a size 9 or 10 . & on top of that, my feet are extremely wide . I HATE them so much -___- & I try my hardest to embrace them bcuss these are the feet that God gave me . But, I feel bad all the time bcuss I can't wear flats, & all of my sneakers get streched out . I have two older sisters who are 25 & 23 & they wear a size 7 & they have narrow feet. Every time I tell them that I don't like my feet, & that I wanna get surgery, they immediately reject what I'm saying & they think I shouldn't feel this way, but they just don't understand. They haven't been through the same things as me. I just need help ! & I'm so happy to have discovered that there's someone out there who feels the same way that I do .

Hey, I am 14 and have size 12 feet. I wish I could get down to a nine?? I look like I have Ronald McDonals shoes!

Reese Bradley July 24, 2011 | 8:39 PM

I have been looking this up since I was 12 and I wore a size twelve. I would love to get my toes shortened. I am now 19 with size 13 feet and it it absolutely torturous. I have seen women on other sites with size 9 and size 10 feet who say "oh I embrace my 'big feet' and I would never get surgery" well YOU DONT HAVE BIG FEET UNTIL THEY ARE SIZE 13!! and I would love to have just a little nomality in my body (im also 6'0) so yes I would love to go from a 13 down to a 10 or even 11 and have your "big feet" :]

Joanne July 24, 2011 | 7:39 PM
