How did it measure up?

A foaming SPF that looks and feels great on your skin? Yes, please! Find out how we liked this genius product.

Name this product:

Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Lightweight Foaming Lotion (vichyusa.com, $29)

How this product looks/feels:

Like its name, this is a foaming lotion with SPF. It's very light to the touch and doesn't look or feel heavy on your skin like some lotions.

Product review: Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Lightweight Foaming LotionWhat I liked about this product:

I apply sunscreen religiously but doing so can often be a chore when the SPF in question is sticky and leaves unwanted residue on my skin. This product absorbs well on the skin and even leaves a nice glow!

What I would change about this product:

There's nothing I would change about this product's formula, but I would like the bottle to be a little bigger so I could get more product!

Describe the application process, how often you used the product and for how long:

Before applying, I shook the bottle, flipped it upside down and simply pressed the product out as I would with a hair mousse. I have been using this product for a good month and a half now whenever I go out in the sun for an extended period of time.

Describe what you liked or didn’t like about the application process:

I liked the convenience factor. With a liquid bottle of SPF, you have to heavily rub in the SPF, but with a foaming mousse, your application time is cut in half.

I would recommend this product for:

Women who want good sun coverage but tend to be a bit lazy with their reapplication routine. This bottle makes reapplying easy, and you don't have to rub the product in too much like you do with others.

How I felt about the scent of this product:

Unlike many SPFs I've tested over the years, this one didn't have a strong, unpleasant scent. It was light and fresh — very pleasant.

Additional comments:

I felt like I got a great degree of sun protection with this SPF, and it was easy to wash off, too!
