My grandmother's name was Ollie. As a little girl she was like an elf army all by herself because of the circumstances of her life. She is the ancestral heritage of her descendants. My name is Olivia I seek peace and find it after fights of justice. I am now the ancestral heritage of my family. When I was born there was a fight for my naming - my grandmother chose Ollie Mae. My doctor chose Olivia and wrote that on my birth certificate. My grandmother had my name changed to Ollie Mae nine months after I was born. Olivia has a line drawn through it and Ollie Mae is written above the name Olivia. The official at the court house said when I grew up I could call myself what I chose. My grandmother died when I was fifty. I had my first name officially changed to Olivia, but I am still called Ollie and Auntie Ollie. I love both names. Thank you for the meanings. My grandmother sought peace, but her peace was so much later in life than mine. My peace was sporadic but now it is serene and always present not unlike the peace that Jesus promised, and I inherited.
