Stefania Silvestri is the author of the memoir Beside The Mountain: Finding Strength and Courage Through My Father’s Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. She received her BA in English from the University of Missouri, Columbia and her MFA in Creative Writing, Nonfiction from Emerson College. She is the recipient of Emerson’s 2011 Dean’s Award for Best Thesis for Beside the Mountain and has participated in numerous charity events for the Alzheimer’s Association.
