She completed medical school at University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, and continued on there to complete her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After several years of private practice in obstetrics and gynecology, she went to University of California, Los Angeles to complete a year-long postgraduate fellowship in Female Sexual Medicine.
