Lisa is a mother of two and is currently working as a consultant and instructor at several Los Angeles Unified School District schools teaching "Kidding Around in the Kitchen" hands-on cooking classes such as "Cooks and Books," and "Foods from Around the World." Lisa has procured grants so she can teach some of these classes to the kids who need it the most for free. Lisa also regularly presents her popular family food demos at local Los Angeles area farmers' markets in partnership with SEE-LA. She has an ongoing series of family cooking classes at The Huntington Gardens and Japanese American National Museum and Target stores where she shares ideas on how to get the whole family involved in meal planning, preparation, and enjoying foods usually thought not to be kid/family friendly. Her ultimate goal is to help other parents discover the gift of spending time in the kitchen with their kids.
