Glenn Gibson, PhD

About Me

Glenn Gibson, PhD is a professor of food microbiology at the University of Reading in Reading, Berkshire, and also heads the Food Microbial Sciences Research Unit. He is president and a founder member of International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics, and has published over 300 full-length research articles, 10 patents and eight books on human gut bacteria. In 1995 he co-wrote a research article that first coined the term “prebiotic.”
