The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards was chock full of news-making moments. Amid all that action, did you catch the new TV spots for Footloose? SheKnows has the new promos, which feature Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough and Dennis Quaid recreating several iconic moments from the 1984 hit starring Kevin Bacon. The sneak peeks are also spiked with with modern day additions like hot dance moves, an African American castmember and a sweeping skyline.

MoviePass and Hollywood Movie Money have teamed up to offer moviegoers unlimited movies for a monthly fee. The new all-you-can-watch program, which goes into beta trial this September, is supposedly a win-win situation, benefiting both movie fans and the ever struggling movie industry. And yes, there will be an app for that, set to launch in 2012.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have dropped their first new album in five years, I’m With You, proving time changes some things but not others. The California guys who took funky, punky, poppy ska mainstream decades ago are all grown up on their 10th album and with another new guitarist on board, they've still got what it takes to rock. Meanwhile, with Anthony Kiedis and Flea nearing 50, newer kids on the block are "just discovering" the icons, and these days it's 'RHCP' not The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Feeling old yet?

Charlie Sheen Roast: All aboard the crazy train

Charlie Sheen left his gig at Two and a Half Men for an unpaid job as conductor of the crazy train, and it's been an uncomfortable ride for many. In the new promos for Comedy Central's Charlie Sheen Roast, however, he literally takes the reins of the Roast Express, with Ozzy Osbourne's Crazy Train pumping in the background, and SheKnows has to admit, it looks like a fun ride.

Matthew Fox's party foul: she said/he said

Matthew Fox was detained by Cleveland police Sunday night after an altercation with party bus driver Heather Bormann. Bormann says Fox was Lost in a booze soaked haze, wanted to hitch a ride on her bus and wouldn't take no for an answer. Fox got physical, so she's pressing charges. Fox hasn't responded yet, but a fan who snapped a photo of him last night has.

The Help reigns again, thanks to Irene

With hurricane Irene sending the East Coast into hiding, Aug. 26-28 was a frightful weekend at the box office. The Help managed to hold the lead without being cut down by Irene. New releases Colombiana, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark and Our Idiot Brother were blown away.

Just days after David Letterman's fatwa drama, Craig Ferguson received white powder in the mail. As Ferguson joked his way through his The Late Late Show monologue on Tuesday, it was clear the delivery gave him a scare, but word is the substance wasn't anthrax, as the letter threatened, or cocaine, as Ferguson joked. It was cornmeal. Phew.
