Cara Welch, PhD serves as the scientific and regulatory affairs (SRA) Manager at the Natural Products Association (NPA). Dr. Welch has an extensive background in natural products research and an in-depth knowledge of organic chemistry, structure elucidation, chemical analysis of botanicals, and natural product standardization. She also brings research and development experience for consumer products as a scientist for Diamond Vogel Paints. In her current role at the NPA, she provides guidance regarding the scientific and regulatory programs, including the association’s Natural Certification for Personal Care and Home Care and Dietary Supplement GMP Certification.
