Michael Jackson’s memorial takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and early estimates have a crowd scene totally
almost 700,000. Officials had hoped to limit the number of people coming to pay their respects to Michael Jackson by selling the tickets.
But, much as a Grateful Dead show back in the day, Staples Center officials are expecting an army of people to show up July 7 hoping to get in somehow.
AEG Live is trying their best to limit the number of Michael Jackson memorial tickets wind up in the hands of people seeking a profit. But, the proliferation of the tickets has already begun. eBay alone has received bids as high as $15,000 for a single ticket to the July 7 Michael Jackson memorial.
AEG Live sent fans via email an authorization code that they say is strictly forbidden to be sold. Ticket winners are to show up at Dodger Stadium July 6 to claim their tickets. Yet, "tickets" are already for sale on the internet.
There is no question this will be the most in-demand ticket in Los Angeles performance history. The requests for the 9,000 available tickets were in the millions.
SheKnows has been given access to broadcast the entire memorial live, don’t miss it!
