In order to pay our respects, fans around the world are wondering how they may mourn their legend. At the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, there will be a public memorial for fans to say their goodbyes to Michael Jackson on July 7 at 10:30 a.m. PST.
The public was eligible
to get tickets for the event and 9,000 lucky ticket holders will be able to participate in the 20,000 seat Staples Center. The remaining seats have not been disclosed as to who will have
access to them for the Michael Jackson memorial -- but as logistics and details unfold, more information will become available.
There was also a Dateline special July 3 featuring Matt Lauer’s interview with Jermaine Jackson at the Neverland Ranch. During the interview, Jermaine reveals he wishes his life was taken instead of Michael’s as speculation continues about the future of the Neverland Ranch.
Will it become a memorial site? Will it become open to the public and perhaps serve as a type of Graceland to fans?
We’re not exactly sure but rest assured as days and weeks unfold, we’ll hear more about the legacy of Michael Jackson as well as ways the public may continue to show their support and admiration.
