We hope that
she’s able to enjoy the time peacefully without paparazzi -- and that the talented singer lands a record deal!
Picture it: You’re living in the suburbs of the Scotland as a relative unknown. Then, magic and insanity collide as you’re a worldwide sensation overnight -- courtesy of YouTube. Boyle's rendition of I Dreamed a Dream yielded approximately 100 million hits on the ‘net!
A lot of people were pulling for Susan Boyle to win Britain’s Got Talent. When she came in second to a dance group, Diversity, you can imagine how disappointed her fans were to hear the news. Even worse: She promptly entered a mental health clinic for exhaustion. This left fans and the Britain's Got Talent team concerned.
...And rightly so. After being wrapped up in the whirlwind of becoming a household name and magnified under the glaring spotlight of the international press, who wouldn’t have been exhausted under those circumstances?
Plus, it probably was a good refuge where Susan could regroup. The British press have been camped out at her home constantly, wanting a glimpse or a few quotes.
Simon Cowell is reportedly working on a contract with Boyle in relation to his own music company, Syco Music.
What makes certain people so attracted to the story? It's... well, the unattractiveness of it. Think about it: Susan Boyle’s the anti-glam. It’s quite refreshing, isn’t it? She’s a normal person with an extraordinary talent. She’s the underdog, a middle-aged woman in the spotlight that typically shines brightest on 20-something starlets (whether or not they’re talented).
So while Boyle recuperates, let’s hope this isn’t the last of the music we’ve heard from Susan’s windpipes.
SheKnows believes we'll be hearing from Boyle on a CD much like Cowell's also-produced Il Divo.
