Oprah, we adore you, but even the great Oprah Winfrey can make a mistake once. In this case, Oprah has done it twice with an "Angel at the Fence."

Remember James Frey’s A Million Little Pieces which became a little best seller and then oops – turns out it was false? In 2005 the little incident gained national attention when inaccuracies were pointed out in his so-called true tell-all tale.

Well, Oprah has been duped again with Angel at the Fence. When you think about it, it’s a pretty impressive track record to have only two inaccuracies in what, decades on the air? We were a bit dismayed to hear the greatest love story ever is well, not true after all.

Herman Rosenblat and his wife Roma

Here’s the 411 on Angel at the Fence: A Holocaust survivor, Herman Rosenblat, met his future wife, Roma, when he was a prisoner in a concentration camp. For seven months she brought him apples and bread through a fence and they reunited years later on a blind date in effervescent Manhattan.

Turns out, the story was fabricated as Herman recently admitted it.

“I wanted to bring happiness to people. I brought hope to a lot of people. My motivation was to make good in this world,” Rosenblat says.

You can imagine what happened next. His publisher, Berkley Books, pulled the plug on his upcoming book, Angel at the Gate. According to the Associated Press, the show will go on: a film version of their tale will go into production in March and the film adaptation will continue as originally planned.

What is the silver lining on this whole Angel at the Fence fiasco?

Although their story was fabricated, Herman and Roma have indeed been married for fifty years. They did meet on a blind date in New York City. That, my friends, is a testimony to matrimony.

Being Gay Is A Gift From God? From the mouths Oprahs favorite spiritual leaders on her show. Supported by them with the statement and Jesus said "love your neighbor as thy self" Jesus statement is not an endorsement for Being Gay or a commandment of acceptance of it. With all the books Opreh has read it is obvious to me that she hasn’t read the most important one, the Bible. It states in Leviticus 20:13 " 'If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads. Opreh appears to be as confused about her Christianity as Oboma. As for trying to change the meaning of the written words in it in her show, I will give you. Revelation "22: 18 warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book". Oprahs success in this life doesn't guaranty that she will have any in the next. BR Bobs Grants Pass Oregon

Vicki, NOTE...you are still too gullible, girl. THEY DID NOT MEET ON A BLIND DATE< NOT EVEN IN REAL LIFE. THAT IS ALSO A LIE. STOp repeating that. it was a lie in the book and it is a lie in real life, too. DOn't believe me? read on or email me at danbloom GMAIL com I am the man who brought this hoax story to the attention of the USA media and called up the reporter who finally broke the story in the New Republic, using all my initial sources. I was the waterboy to this book takedown. Maybe midwife. Read about my role in all this here, and don't laff, or okay, laff. It's okay. http://www.jossip/the-guy-who-wants-credit-for-breaking-the-latest-oprah-memoir-scandal-20090102/#comment-57376 Now i want to ask Oprah this, what do you think? http://ijcm101.blogspot/ Ask Oprah to invite Herman Rosenblat on her show to apologize for literary fabrication I am creating a national write-in campaign here with a grassroots effort to ask Oprah to invite Herman on her show in future to apologzie, ask forgiveness, explain why he did it and how Monday, December 29, 2008 Asking Oprah to invite Herman Rosenblat on her show one more time to apologize for his literary fabrication, explain why he did it, ask forgiveness I am creating a national write-in campaign here with a grassroots effort to ask Oprah to invite Herman on her show in future to apologzie, ask forgiveness, explain why he did and how and ... to move on with his life quietly and out of the spotlight. I have already been in touch with Oprah's producers and there is a good chance this might happen. Oprah will not attack Herman on air the way she did with James Frey after his deceptions were uncovered. In this case, she will allow Herman to answer to the public, explain himself, apologize and ask forgiveness, from Oprah and the public, for his literary faux pas. PLEASE leave your comments below. You may frame them as a letter to Oprah, which her producers in Chicago will read online here, and you can make your voice heard about asking Oprah to invite Herman on her show one last time to explain himself, to apologize to Oprah and the public, to ask forgiveness and to move on with this life from the point onward. We believe that he is a good man, and that he just made a wrong decision by sticking with his made-up story for so long. Now that the fabrication has been exposed by the media and his book cancelled, it is time for Oprah to invite him on her show and let him explain himself to her and to the public. I think there will be a teaching moment here for everyone, for Oprah too, for Herman, too, and for the viewing public. I am in touch with Oprah's producers by email and phone now, and am waiting word on what they will do with this suggestion. There is no group sponsoring this write in campaign, just one lone blogger following his heart.
