Jamie Spears was earning about $10,000 a month after being signed conservator of Britney Spears’ affairs by the courts when she went bonkers last summer. According to People, a Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner bumped that amount up to $16,000 a month -- and made the raise retroactive.

In addition to his fat salary for doing little more than making sure Britney ingests nothing but Frappuccinos and Cheetos all day while making prank phone calls to Justin Timberlake and running people over in parking lots, Jamie will also receive an extra $1,200 a month for office expenses, which County Commissioner Reva Goetz says is justified by the recent uptick in Brit Brit’s career.

Is Jamie’s hard work paying off?

While Britney recently complained in her MTV documentary that she had no freedom and was basically kept under lock and key, her new album Circus debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and she is being allowed more and more frequent visitation with her sons.
