From 1990’s Pretty Woman, Roberts’ hits would include Sleeping with the Enemy, Hook, The Pelican Brief, Conspiracy Theory, Stepmom, Notting Hill, Runaway Bride and Erin Brokovich. All would earn over $100 million.

An actress with career bookends of a decade serving as Pretty Woman and Erin Brokovich, Roberts is a hard act to follow. In all likelihood, there may never be another Julia Roberts, but there will be another America’s Sweetheart.

10. Emma Roberts

You have to go there, the girl looks just like her aunt and she packs the same acting talent.

Although she has yet to open a film in the same manner as her A-list relative, Emma Roberts will prove over time to be a force in film.

She was a fantastic Nancy Drew and if she had been given a better script and story, the match of Emma and Nancy Drew could have spun cinematic gold. Instead, it was a flop.

Watching her in Aquamarine was a joy as well.

Here’s to hoping that the pint-sized Julia gets another chance at the teenaged sleuth because she deserves it. If not, there are millions of other projects that will send this young talent to sit beside her top-tier Hollywood actress aunt.

9. Naomi Watts

Based solely on the fact that Forbes magazine has her in its top actors who make the most money for their studio feature, she is on this list. Although she may be Julia’s age, Naomi Watts still has the potential to run a string of blockbusters together as Miss Roberts once achieved.

The King Kong star was number five on Forbes’ list, just below Brad Pitt at four and, you guessed it, Julia Roberts at three.

Watts will be given the chance to open numerous huge movies because of her dollar-paid to film’s earnings ratio. Watts will be set up to hand American audiences seven enormous hit movies. She's already got two of the nine! 

Then again, she sticks to art house fare as Julia has as well. The option for superstardom is there for Naomi Watts should she ever choose to pick up the title.
