It’s hard to believe Britney’s lip lock with Madonna was five years ago and now she is returning to the VMAs.

She'll be back this year!A year after her very controversial "performance" at the VMAs, apparently MTV still wants a piece of the pop princess.

Check it out ladies, the pop star has returned to MTV's good side after her disastrous performance in 2007. Britney was nominated for Best Female Video for "Piece of Me" for the September 7 awards show that is legendary.

Will she perform? Time will tell, but one thing is sure, the vixen will be front and center at the awards show that has found her writing so many chapters of her career.

As for her competition? We’re not going to lie. It’s pretty tight.

Other nominations in Britney's category include "Touch My Body" by Mariah, "No Air" by Jordin Sparks, "Take a Bow" by Rihanna, and "I Kissed A Girl" by Katy Perry. Our bets are on the girl who kissed a girl.
