How many times have you been in the middle of your run or elliptical workout and your headset wires end up tangled on your clothes or ripped out as you swing your arms? You can’t fathom exercising without music, but the frequent fight with your headphone cords is enough to make you chuck your iPod. However, before you resign to tuneless exercise, just toss your wired headset and give Wi-Gear’s wire-free iMuffs a listen.

iMuffs

iMuffs for on-the-go music

iMuffs are sleek, ergonomically designed headphones without wires. Whether you like listening to club music to get your heart pumping or New Age tunes to chill you out during Yoga, iMuffs deliver high-quality stereo sound without the worry of getting your wires tangled during a chest press or Downward Dog pose.

Despite being high-tech, these wireless headphones let you easily pause, adjust volume, skip tracks, and even seek music right from the headset. You can listen to your iPod or Bluetooth phone as well as use iMuffs with your laptop or desktop computer. Plus, if you happen to be a multi-tasker and ride your stationary bike while making business or personal calls at the same time, you can also use iMuffs to talk over iChat or Skype.

What makes iMuffs so superior to other headsets?

“iMuffs represent the massive convergence of two great technologies: the iPod and Bluetooth cell phone technology,” says Mark Pundsack, Founder and CEO of Wi-Gear. “We saw an opportunity to fill a gap and put the two things together, for a product that provides fantastic sound quality and functionality without all of the hassle of wires.”

With Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Bluetooth 2.0 technology, users enjoy near-CD quality sound up to 30 feet away. When paired with a Bluetooth phone, iMuffs automatically pause the iPod and ring in the headphones, allowing the user to talk through the integrated microphone.

The latest iMuffs model, the MB210, represents the first wireless headphones with Clear Voice Capture (CVC) echo and noise cancellation software to ensure the highest quality, clearest voice communications using an integrated microphone. In addition, these simple plug-in and listen headphones can be charged through any computer’s USB port or with the included travel charger.

Ready for wireless workouts?

If you have an iPod nano, iPod classic, iPod touch, iPod photo, iPod mini or any of the third generation iPods - which are all compatible with the MB210 - you can pick up your set of iMuffs at Wi-Gear.com. The iMuffs MB210 is available in black or white and retails for $129.99.

I just love how they try to monopolize the market by aiming all of this stuff at I-Pod users only. I don't like I-Pods, I would much rather have a Creative Zen. However, there are a lot of accessories that are sold exclusively for I-Pods.
