Mrs. Tom Cruise is following in the footsteps of Brooke Shields, Julia Roberts and other leading Hollywood actresses.

Katie is ready for her Broadway close upKatie Holmes is to make her debut on The Great White Way officially on September 18th in her starring role in "All My Sons."

"All My Sons," will cost theater goers a pretty penny. The top price for evening performances and weekend matinees will be $116.50 with Wednesday matinees costing $111.50.

Here’s the scoop on the riviting play:

The Dawson’s Creek alum will star in the revival of Arthur Miller’s play alongside John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson.

The show officially opens on October 16th and will end January 11th. The plot centers around Lithgow’s character who supplied defective cylinder parts to the military. It is years later, after his son returns from war, that it is revealed that his dirty deed led to 21 deaths during World Wwar II.

In the play his business partner went to jail for the error. Dianne Wiest will play his wife whereas Holmes will play the son’s fiancee.

To say this play is intense is the understatement of this still young century. We'll see if Holmes can pack the thespian heat.
