As the weather heats up, look sexy and cool this summer. With these summer beauty and style tips, you will be turning heads all season long.
Sexy summer look

Add a sexy sarong

After you get out of the water, top your swimsuit with a sexy sarong. A sarong is perfect for the beach or a backyard BBQ. You will be chic and comfortable without having to worry about your suit riding up.

Wear sheer, waterproof makeup

Use a sweatproof, waterproof makeup base. My favorite is Clinique Almost Makeup SPF 15. This makeup is light and oil-free, while also waterproof with a built-in sunscreen. It comes is six natural shades and is priced at $19.50 for a 1.5 oz. tube.

Put on Hollywood eyes

Add oversized sunglasses for high style glamour. Nothing says Hollywood like a big pair of sunglasses. Oversized sunglasses are not only stylish, they'll also protect your eyes from the sun's harmful rays.

Carry a beachy tote

Instead of a purse, carry a bright summer tote bag instead. It's roomy enough to carry all your beauty essentials, whether you are spending the day at the beach or the shopping mall. This roomy canvas tote is only $26 at Nordstrom.

Add a sun-kissed glow

Wear bronzer to get a golden, sun-kissed glow. Apply a light dusting of powder bronzer on your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin. These are the areas where the sun naturally hits your first. Use a bronzer only a shade or two darker than your natural skin tone.

Dress up your feet

Select thong sandals adorned with stones and crystals rather than rubber flip flops. Just because you are dressed casually this summer doesn't mean you shouldn't look chic. Embellished sandals can even be worn with shorts and a T-shirt. Get these cute thong sandals at Nordstrom.

Wear a sweet, floral scent

Instead of a strong perfume, try light scented lotions and body scrubs in floral scents. In warm weather, your fragrance will smell stronger, so you don't need anything overpowering.  Clinique Happy Heart body wash, body butter and body cream are excellent choices.

Style your summer hair

After you step out of the water, pull your hair into a high ponytail. Slick it back with pomade and then tease out your ponytail with a wide tooth comb. You'll be set to head to the bar or club.
