1) Keep a journal. If you write for just a few minutes each day (or every other day), you'll have lots of fodder for journaling during scrapbooking.
2) Have your photos printed out. Whether you use an online service, go to a photo processing center or print them at home, having your photos physically printed is KEY. I know I made this mistake last year.
I buy supplies and an album, then I wonder, "Where are my photos? Oh, right; they're still on my computer." Print 'em even if you know you won't have time to scrapbook for awhile. That day will come, and your photos will be ready!
3) Make creativity a part of your daily lifestyle. Spend some time doing something creative every day. For example, crop some photos, make your own patterned paper using rubber stamps.
4) Stay organized. Invest in some inexpensive organizers to keep your supplies neat and accessible. The dollar store has shoebox-sized bins that are perfect for embellishments and stickers. You'll find having a neat space to work in will help you know exactly where things are.
5) Be green. Use recyclable materials when possible! Don't toss nice wrapping paper if it could be used as background paper. Don't throw out sturdy boxes or tins that could be useful as organizers for supplies.
6) Try new things when scrapbooking. Is there something you've always thought about trying, but never did? Ever think about trying digital scrapbooking? Maybe this is your year! Be adventurous!
7) Try starting a weekly or every-other-weekly scrapbooking club. Gather some friends and share ideas, supplies, and tips! This could be a very motivating way to kep you scrapbooking all year long!
