At the change of seasons, you may notice your hair has a lot more split ends. With the temperature and humidity changes, it's important to treat dry, damaged hair with deep conditioners. These homemade beauty remedies can revive hair and treat split ends.

If you are tired of dealing with split ends and dry, damaged hair, before reaching for the scissors, try these terrific home remedies to hydrate and rejuvenate your hair.

Honey and oil treatment

  • Mix a tablespoon of honey with 1/4 cup of olive oil.
  • Beat two egg yolks into the honey and oil.
  • Saturate your hair with the mixture from root to tips, paying special attention to the ends.
  • Put your hair up into a shower cap for 45 minutes.
  • Rinse with water as cold as you can stand.
  • Shampoo with a moisturizing shampoo and style as usual.

Avocado

Avocado and egg treatment

  • Mix 1/2 an avocado, 1 egg and 3 tablespoons of conditioner in a small bowl.
  • Saturate your hair with mixture.
  • Let set for 15-20 minutes.
  • Rinse with cool water.
  • Reserve remaining mixture in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Orange banana treatment

  • Beat two eggs, 2 ounces of orange juice and 1/2 of a banana together.
  • Apply to hair from root to tips, combing through.
  • Wrap head in plastic wrap or shower cap.
  • Allow to penetrate for 30 minutes.
  • Rinse with cool water and shampoo as usual.
  • This will restore hair's luster and shine.
